Real n00b questions.
« on: January 22, 2006, 05:42:37 pm »
I finally got the Linux client working in Kubuntu and now I have actually created a character and visited the world.

I would have the following questions:
1. how do I open doors?
2. Do I get money somehow? Can I shop? How do I find a shop? I need some weapons, don\'t I?

I ended up with a female character, but thought I was getting a male. Maybe the picture was misleading since it warned there was no model for that race. It didn\'t seem possible to go back and give the character a sex change. Is it possible?

So far so good, Very good work. Impressive game. Good art. Good music.

1)  You can\'t.  ;)
2)  To get money, I\'d suggest asking around in game to go find the sewers and kill some rats.  Harnquist is the blacksmith near the plaza, and you could buy a weapon off him after you sell him a few rat hides.  (yes, you\'ll have to do it bare-handed at first)

Hey welcome to ps ^^
helpful hits read though the forums instead of just posting a new thread. Your questions have answers already and have beed asked :P. And yeah we cant\'s open doors :| oh well. It is helpful to read the player\'s guide from the main site or even a few of the marked threads in here to avoid asking out of character questions in the game. Most players here are very much good role players ^^ so have fun with it :D

Newbie Forum --> Gameplay FAQ :)

You can\'t change the sex of your character - but if you just began, there should be no problems with deleting and starting all over.

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
