Regarding my new siggy
« on: February 02, 2006, 06:53:01 pm »
Well...I think my new Hyung sig is mostly finished. But I\'d like some advice before I consider it done.

First: My one monitor is kinda dark, while the other seems too bright, so...does the book look too bright? Should I darken it more?

Also, should it be on the left or the right of the Edith Banner? I have it on right now. Also, is it possible to align something to the right using BB code? I didn\'t want them right next to each other like that :(.

Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks.

I just did a quick brightness/contrast on it.
It may or may not be better...

Hi

I think the book itself looks good. The only thing that pokes my eye a bit, are the jagged edges, but it may be difficult to get rid of them in gif format.

Another small thing is that it\'s of different perspective than your earlier signature pic. Like you\'re planning to, best have some space between the images.

*edit*

To Stephen McNaire:
Hmm, yes, the align tag seems to make a line break too. Maybe it wants to reserve space for all possible align directions. Unfortunately I don\'t know BB codes that well, and can\'t say how/if that can be avoided.
Yes, png allows smooth transparency. With the drawback that it looks dumb in Internet Explorer.

Does the .png you use for yours allow for anti-alising the edges? Because .gifs don\'t and that\'s why I have to make the edges solid so they work on the different backgrounds.

And I tried aligning right, but for some reason it puts it right...but in another row, making my sig 200 pixals high which not only looks stupid, but I doubt is allowed :|. *Points below* See?:

And this is what I coded (Brackets messed with so it doesn\'t  read it :P):

Why the heck does it do that >:| ?!?
