Crashing Combat and Death
« on: February 07, 2006, 01:38:29 am »
I actually use red magic in combat. Thus, I crash on any combat that lasts more than two minutes, and often faster than that. What really sucks is when I wind up dead everytime i crash.

There should be something to prevent death upon crash, until combat crashes are less frequent.

A possible cause of these crashes in my opinion is that every couple seconds i auto-defend-mode, and doing that too much IMO probably causes it. Not sure of course. But I`m incapable of hitting the monster if i go from that defense mode to an offense one, I hav eto click away, and double click the monster before he puts me in defense mode, for my char to actually attempt to hit him. So there\'s clearly something wrong with the auto defense mode.

IN MY HUMBLE OPINION we should be put in normal combat mode when something attacks us, and if it cant reach us, such as when we cast at them, they should NOT try to put us in combat again when we are already in combat. Sure they should try attacking but it shouldnt affect us beyond the first time, in the whole encounter.

Auto-defense is a known issue, it has been mentioned on the bug-tracker before, I believe.

What you\'re griping about is a new feature they\'ve implemented, wheras you character supposedly continues fighting even after you log off. I believe it is because whatever your fighting is able to kill you since you\'re not attacking it, AKA, you\'re in defense mode from casting the spell, and unable to hit said creature.

Then again, I know not how the auto-combat works... I have not seen it in action.

Oh, by the way, double-posting only serves to increase your deleted post count ;)
Crazy am I. Not responsable for crazyness that ensues.

The login restriction is still a new feature, so probably could do with some fine-tuning. I\'ll take another look at the bugs with it soon.
