Want to play together

Hey.  My friend and I are joining this game together, and would prefer to be able to team up when we finally get the game running.  I am given to understand that different race start at different places, correct?  Is there any way I could find out which races we would need to play to be able to start at least somewhat geographically close to each other in-game?  Or are we just going to have make our characters the same race?

Unless there are new maps in the new release, which i can\'t know about (waiting for mac release) then all races but the enki start in the same city

right now only the enkis start a bit off from everybody else. but that will change in latter versions.

but pick the race you want to be. it isn\'t that much of a walk.
