3d models unavailable?

I just dl\'d planeshift - tech demo for crystal blue or somt. and i logged in to the \'character creation\' interface thing, but there\'s a bunch of races with no 3d models, so I don\'t know what they look like, and I don\'t know what race i want my first char. to be :0
i dunno if you can post screenies in these forums, but does the planeshift site have some of the different races, or does anyone have a site with screenies of them so i can find the one that suits me best?( if so, url, pls? :D)

also, does the [tech \"demo\"] title mean that this isn\'t a full version? ;s

There was something else i wanted to ask, but memory escapes me, atm.. =\\

EDIT:: Now i remember; Can you change your character\'s appearance later in the game? or change their race?

Hiya, and welcome to PlaneShift! :)

PS is a constantly evolving, completely free, and always open medieval fantasy MMORPG. We are currently on version 0.3.013, so not even 1.0 yet - so yes, this is isn\'t a full version. We can drop the \"tech demo\" title for now - I think that stopped with Molecular Blue (we\'re playing Crystal Blue now), but this still is a very early (alpha, not beta) stage.

Not all models of the races are available right now, because they haven\'t been created yet. So some models that are available (Ynnwn, Stonebreaker, Ylian, etc.) are used for those that aren\'t yet (Diaboli, Hammerwielder, Nolthrir, etc.). Once more skin choices and races are created and implemented, you will no doubt be able to change your choices - recreating a character just to get the right aesthetics doesn\'t seem to be too appealing of a choice.

Remember to read the Player Guide and the Story section of the PlaneShift website, that offers information on both the setting and races (as well as some really cool art to go with them), and glance over some stickied (Important) threads in the forums, particularly Newbie Help section :)

Hello Presidential Sorcerer! And welcome to PlaneShift!
Most of the races are indeed missing models, but what that means isn\'t that you can\'t see them until in the game, but that there aren\'t even correct playable models for them in the game yet! A lot of work is still needed on them, and the game itself before this happens.

The current playable races with correct models are:
Enkidukais - Male and Female
Ynnwn - Male and Female
Stonebreaker dwarf - Male and Female
Kran - (No gender)
Ylian - Male
Dermorian - Male
And Klyros - Male and Female, but both models are the same.


Most of the other races are playable, but use the same models as the above stated races for now.

I guess I\'ll just experiment with the races available
for now so i can get a feel of the game before i look
to a more permanent character
