Error

it came up with an error wilst i just finsed a caricter and it siad I can\'t remember what it siad but it it came up as the screen siad \"looking for other\" i can\'t remember the rest but can you tri to help.


i.e scared and confused.

i found out what it siad, it siad \"Some thing unexspected happend in Plane Shift: Crystal Blue

I am having the same error happen, but only when I use one of my characters.  The character\'s name is Araro Barero.  This happend to me after I entered the library.
If I use my other character then the game runs just fine.

This is the error I get
EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION at 0041ac3b.
note: my sound is disabled in the setup and I am not using fullscreen.  I am completely updated on my drivers and on planeshift filies.  I hope this helps any.

I know it sounds strange, but this time try enabling sound in the setup and see, if it is still crashing or not.

Yes, the problem was added by me actually, but it should be solved already in CVS.

If it is the same problem. Just for safety if one of the people that get this crash can send me a dump file (arianna.benigno@gmail.com) it would be better.

Thanks Bereror and AryHann.  I got the problem fixed, with the help of Wired_Crawler\'s post.  

It seems to happen when trying to load the Jayose map when you first log into the game.    For some reason this seems to happen if you quit while in the library, at least with my characters.
