toolbar invisible and menus

hiya ...searched and none of the topics I came up with pertained directly to my problem, so ...here goes.

 My toolbar is invisible (bet you guessed that much from the header ) but the buttons ARE there ...I can mouse-over them and see the descriptions. It isn\'t a crippling issue, but is fairly annoying. The second thing is ...I seem to have messed up my menu transparency ...all windows are completely transparent, even when selected (and the changes I attempted to make after right clicking and adjusting made no difference). I am not sure how this happened, and I have modified no files.
 ...help?

Try to run the setup tool and select another \"skin\"? Very strange, sounds like the client is unable to load some graphics.

I think I\'d try to delete the gui folder and update again, that should redownload .xml files and reset everything...right?

I would not recommend deleting the folder. Settings are not stored there, they are stored in the root directory.

I think what happned was you somehow set the fade for all windows. Try right clicking on anywindow, and at the popup that comes up (assuming you did not click a button) hange settings and try to get that window to no longer fade. Once you have that right, click the button to save to all windows, and you should be fixed.

well ...the new skin (went back to default) worked, thanks ...got an exception as I exited ...who knows what happened now weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee


ok, now I crash before login lol ...is there still a place to send logs? ...am going to try to update in recover mode and try again

ok ...updating in recover seemed to do the trick ...but it\'s very greeeeeeeeeeeeennnnn lol thanks for the help, guys

toolbar and windows transparent.   Same toolbar invisible.   Well I managed to
achieve that today.  Will try checking pssetup, etc. and see what happens.

Well, after going into pssetup and find where it says one should follow the team\'s
preferred skin and agreeing too the toolbar came back and the windows too.

However On clicking on the window,  the  max transparency was set a 0.

This thread is too old to affect you.  If things are weirdly transparent, just change the settings or delete planeshift.cfg to reset them.
