Graphics and text problems with a Volari V3
« on: March 17, 2006, 11:19:04 pm »
Operating System: Windows XP Professional
Processor: AMD athlon 3000+
Graphics Card: Volari XGI V3 128mb
System Memory: 1GB

(I searched the posts and did not see a similar problem, so I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate)

I downloaded, installed, and updated the game w/out a problem except the fact that where the text should be on the updater, there are only solid lines and boxes. But it did update properly. I started the game, and all the text looks just like it does in the updater. I managed to create a character and start the game and there is one more problem. As I walk over the ground, it will change, typically to a sky-texture. Otherwise than these two problems, most of the features in the game (that I can use at least) work properly, and I get about 30-45 fps.

I have updated to the most recent version of the graphics drivers for this card and I am running DirectX 9c.

The DirectX version doesn\'t matter as Planeshift doesn\'t use it (at least as far as I know) ...

More important would be OpenGL, and according to some net info V3 supports version 1.3.

Though I don\'t know which version PS uses, so one of the devs could post Planeshift\'s requirements.
Typing and grammatic errors may be safely ignored, they come without charge ...
