Fighting rats is usually the first step for new players, because they are the easiest and can be handled by anyone, with or without weapons. If you\'re chasing a Tefusang or Rogue right now, you can definitely expect to see the DR often.
We don\'t answer questions pertaining to what NPC can give you what on the forums, because that is part of the mystery and adventure of the game. Either you find out yourself, or you ask fellow characters around you in the game (in a roleplay manner, of course) if they may know a merchant that deals with weaponry.
If you right-click on any NPC (the ones with the light-blue name labels) a few icons will come up, with text if you hover your mouse over them. Buy/Sell if the NPC is a merchant, trade/give, examining their description, etc. To talk to an NPC, simply target him or her and type in your chat window as normal. When you have an NPC targeted, you are talking to that NPC and that NPC only. So if you want to return to regular chat that every other player around you can see, you have to deselect the NPC.
