Well I'll honestly say that I haven't really bothered reading the entire website.
It's obvious what you want to stand for, something a lot of guilds have tried and some still are doing. It's without doubt the quickest and easiest way to become a large guild. Help new people by giving them free goodies, etc. and you can expect several of those people to join your guild. You'll also make a lot of friends this way, I'm certain.
However some of the downsides are the lack of originality, no real roleplaying contribution. Don't understand me wrong, it's great that there are guilds who help out new players .. we definitely need those. That is where your contribution will end most likely though, helping new players. You'll have little to add to the 'mature' roleplaying community, unless you manage to work out an excellent way to help those new to Yliakum. It can be done but it's far from easy.
If I may make a bold suggestion, try to think of a specific way of helping Yliakeans, move your focus off the general helping and towards contributing something to the roleplaying community. Add something to the community, a service possibly, that isn't yet provided or you think you can provide better ... you can still continue to help out new players, most of us do it independent from our guilds.
