The Blitzers Coat of Arms: A Sword, Lightning Bolt, and Feather Quill Pen crossing at the center of a Shield, representing the balance and unity between fighters, magi, and craftspeople in the guild.
We are the
Blitzers Guild (BG): a neutrally aligned group which has the primary goal creating a self-sufficient community to test and understand the world around us in every available aspect. The name is completely nonsensical, but we are striving to make it synonymous with strength, wisdom, and unity. We have been around for several years, seeing many members come and go. We dominated the crystal hunting business for some time (including individual member successes), and have held successful events including fighting tournaments. Our members can be of any profession, alignment, or religion they wish. No matter who you are, you will find many new and supportive friends in the guild.
[ OOC:
Now you may be asking, "that’s so general, so what's the point?" The answer is quite simple- we wish to have a guild where any player, no matter how they define their character, is able to find many supporting friends and let their roleplaying thrive. You will not have to conform your character's past or idiosyncracies to be a part of this guild. Blitzers has always been a guild, and not an organization, because members share bonds and loyalties which are strong enough to require the attention of being a guild member. While our story of wanting to make such a community is quite simple, we make up for this in the richness of our character's individual backgrounds.
There are many guilds for many kinds of characters, but there are many characters that don’t fit in any particular guild or that wouldn’t do as well being a part of an entirely homogeneous one. Your characters and their past should not have limits and not be changed to fit what group you align yourself with. BG offers this freedom as well as many good friends working together to overcome any obstacles that any one of the members may encounter. Our webpage houses areas both on the site and on our forum to post character descriptions, pasts, and other stories. We hold in-game gatherings to share such stories and always encourage roleplaying. We are looking for this level of involvement from our members.
You may also think, “So this guild is for people who do nothing but roleplay.” Certainly not! We require our members to roleplay, but we do not prevent them from training their swordplay, developing their endurance, learning how to mine, or anything else skill related. In fact, we focus on offering a lot of help and support to go after such goals. We just ask that you roleplay while doing it.

Our Structure:
These are our
ranks, starting with leader(s) and going down to a new member:
9: Dinarch
8: Consul
7: Ringleader
6: Chapterleader
5: Doyen
4: Veteran
3: Ordonate
2: Novice
1: Apprentice
The following is our
original structure, which will be resumed when we once again have enough members. You can look further down to see our current structure, and how it will expand to this final structure:
The High Council consists of the
Dinarch(s) and the three
Consuln: the Consul of War (Keto), the Consul of Information (Uyaem) and the Consul of Commerce (Manden). These members may be a part of any Chapter or Ring, but are no allowed to also lead a Ring. This group organizes the guild and focuses guild resources into achieving guild-wide goals. It rules over every guild member and The Council.
The Council consists of the six
Ringleaders, who are in charge of the six Rings:
Ring of Fighters
Ring of Rangers/Scouts
Ring of Merchants
Ring of Craftsmen
Ring of Magi
Ring of Alchemists/Enchanters
as well as the three
Consuln. The Ring Leaders may be a part of, but may not lead, any Chapter in their Ring. This group decides the rules or the guild and makes sure every member gets what they need. It rules over the non-bureaucratic members of the guild, from Apprentices to Chapter Leaders.
Everyone in the guild is a part of one of the Rings. Each Ring contains
Chapters, which are made up of guild members of similar professions. For example, the Ring of Fighters may have a Chapter of Knights, or the Ring of Craftsmen may have a Chapter of Miners. We do not require our members to join an already existing Chapter, but do ask that they join the Ring(s) which best suits them. If enough members with similar interest accumulate in a certain Ring, they are entitled to create their own Chapter and pick a leader for that Chapter.
The following is our
Current Guild Structure, which is like our original structure, only made compact and ready to expand with our numbers:
The Council consists of
Dinarch(s), the three
Consuln, and the
Ring Leaders. One player may substitute in more than one of these roles until a suitable candidate is found. This group’s job is to mobilize the guild, make sure everything is organized, and that everyone has what they need from the guild.
The six
Rings have been compacted down to three, each with an afore mentioned Ring Leader:
The Ring of Fighters (Fighters+Rangers/Scouts) led by Keto
The Ring of Magi (Magi+Alchemists/Enchanters) led by Uyaem
The Ring of Craftsmen (Craftsmen+Merchants) led by Manden
Once each of these have expanded in members to the Council’s liking, it can be split into two of the original six Rings. There are currently no Chapters. However, Chapters may be created at any time as long as there are enough interested players.
If you have any questions or you are interested in joining us, simply look around for someone with the Blitzers Coat of Arms (see the above illustration). That person will be able to help you on what you need to do to join the guild.
Thank you for your time. Now... Do you have any questions or comments?
