It's highly recommended that you install the new package clean.

Things you can keep:
questnotes files in the data folder
shortcuts at data/options/shortcutcommands.xml
other options in there other than keys.xml or mouse.xml  (new file is controls.xml and mouse.xml; new format, so you can't carry over old ones)
logs in your logs folder
screenshots in your screenshots folder

Just copy these out, uninstall, and install the new package.

Download the new Windows package for PlaneShift 0.3.015 via BitTorrent here

Do not run the updater until the update servers are ready or it will destroy your new install

well, I have the same question again ... when will the updater be ready? I also wanna know if we will need to edit any files manually when I'll use the updater? And how much bandwidth will I save? I guess that there is some saving, if it is 25 megs, I'll download simply by bittorent. Much easier lolq

You probably won't save any bandwidth.  We have loads of new content, and all the textures are in a new format.  Just download the package off of BitTorrent and install clean.

I don't know when the update servers will be made available.  We probably won't do it for a bit.

I think, that sound and music are not changed. It is aprox. 60MB.

Edit: Yeah, like DaveG said - there is no point in waiting :) Better have full, clean install.
