Patches and Updaters

 Hi. Where is the best place to look for new patches and how often should we use the updater. Thanks

Normally, new patches are annouced here on the forums and also on the main site.  Personally, I only run the updater when told to do so by the devs, and those are also normally annouced here on the forums and sometimes on the main site.

IMHO, don't use the updater unless your test version is broken. If you must update, read the informations scattered on the main site, the laanx site or miscelneaous forums, reread the old stickies in case they have been updated, and build you opinion on what you should really do. It may be smarter to wait few days in case this information has changed.

Run the updater if we don't tell you not to.  If the system is currently working, run it whenever the message at the char pick screen tells you to.
