Killing Rogues

Hi. I am getting very bored killing rats for a living. I have tried the odd rougue but the moment he hits me I am dead. My sword skills are quite good but that does not help. Any Ideas anybody?

Become better?
Use a better weapon?
fight a weaker rogue?
fight something else?


those are really the only options.

1) try Gobbles, then Tefusangs
2) Rogues (and other monsters as well) are not all the same strong - some are stronger and some are weaker then the average - right-click and look at them to see how strong "you evaluate them" to be.

you might check out the rogues in the sewers ...I believe they are a bit weaker than those elsewhere

Try increasing ur str attribute [to deal more damage] or ur endurance attribute [to have more life]

Don't do that some if not of the rogues down there are pretty strong and dish out a lot of punishment.

light armor is the way to go..

it decreases the damage you take.

just make sure you have armor.

You mentioned your swords skills are quite good bugsbabe, but have you considered these stats effect your character in a major way?

(1) Strength
(2) Agility
(3) Endurance

Those stats will effect your amount of life, how much you hit with your swords, as well as how much your not hit by your enemy.  :)
   I've been outside, it's overrated and the graphics suck!

Are you sure that they have a major effect? I tried it a few times and 1 strength is only 0.3-0.5 average damage increase, while 1 sword is about 1-2 average dmg increase. Only together they might have a major effect, but it's very expensive to raise them that much. Strong players can increase that to become even stronger, but considering bugsbabe is currently in the sewers hunting rats, it'd take quite a while to level any of those stats to a decent level.

I suggest to increase light armor a bit, and hunt clackers or tefusang, depending on what you can handle.

Oh ya, another thing that will help you and probably one of the most important. LA - AKA - Light armor. I would suggest working on this the most if you want to become resistant to the NPC's and their hitting blows.

@Erinys: Yes I believe so, I don't think that much with the combat system has changed in a year. If I am not correct, I would hope someone would point it out. Those three stats do help regardless or how little or high you train them.
