Ylian Heavy armor?

i thought they wernt gonna get leather armor only the metal stoof.
thoughts of a kran: im a big rock maybe if i get some leather and cover myself with it ill be better defended

Yeah, i would Guess that krans would only work with metal stuff really. 
But leather would provide a decent cushioning for the bludgeioning weapons that Krans  are so sucenpatble too. Luckily for us big rock people, there are no hammers or Maces yet.
Still.... A crazy dwarf with a pick and an eye for the crystals buried in my head is quite hassle  enough....

Well even if it's not working why not give it to all the guards? They deserve the best armor and would definately love seeing such things often

Kran do not wear Leather Armor. They will have a "natural" armor that gives them the same basic defense.

On another note,  maybe the guards at the gates arnt wearing it because of speed or somthing?
There is a Ynnwn (How the hell do you pronounce that?) so I can understand her not wearing metal armor, all that metal comes into contact with skin etc...
I guess that means that the Ynnwn wont  be getting any metal armor? Or  is it just Gold, silver and platinum that they cant touch?

They prefer not to use gold, silver or platinum coins: contact with such metals provokes a skin rash. The wounds that they suffer from weapons plated with these metals are very painful, slow to heal and sometimes lethal. They instead tolerate the orichalc, although they prefer not to handle it too long because of the percentage of gold it contains.

Their armor would simply have to avoid gold, silver, or platinum elements.

I'm just curious as to why all the armor hasn't been implimented yet. The mesh shouldn't have to show for it to be implimented, since light armor didn't show until just recently and it worked. Is it that hard to just change the numbers, say change it from light armor's (example) 6 defense to heavy's 20 defense and put it in a shop somewhere?

Hence me asking for ALL the guards to wear things like that. Not just the newest ones that are rather far away from where most of the action takes place.

Well, guards are not only Ylians - and that is the only Heavy Armor mesh designed at this time. In the future I would want all guards to have different armor entirely instead of using what will be available to players too.

I had the same question, i mean does it really take that long and is it really that hard to implement these things?

I also thought it would be changing a few numbers and giving it to an NPC, but hey i could be wrong.

hmm true they don't all are, but at the gates out of the four I believe three are

Give the other one the chain armor as thats flashy aswell with it not being tottally availeble yet to players

Would be a bit more realistic to me aswell as it's kinda strange to see everyone in armor these days, but the guard who should be able to break up a fight between most people have none. Just seeing they are so elite they don't need it seems a bit doubtful as a theory

Well, seeing as the guard are all different, they havge their own preferances. Some may  like  speed  better than heavy chain mail and  stay with leather. 
Other might not favour  their agility so much and  take a full plate out with them. As long as they each have their  own way of dealing with things  then its fine, you cant expect someone to function as well, when they are not comfortable with what they are functioning in.

most if not all of the chain mail skins are in your "charaters?" zip file in planeshift directory if u just look... why they havnt been implemented meh i dunno no free time ATM
