Graphical Issues :/

I've similar issues posted before, but I wasn't clear on if this was a problem or not.  Specificly the load texure errors.  I also get a diagonal slash across the screen when the game starts which would no doubt kill me if i were prone to seizures the screen flashes black and white several frames per second all the while.    I can't see to click in the login user and password boxes during this but i've checked my comfig after and it saves the input that I do enter.

I'm running linux kernal 2.6.17.7 /w Ubuntu.

this is no help for you cuz nobody could help me as i write, but if a solution is found later u can check my thread from time to time, as i check yours;)

e:my client runs pretty well, i have not as much problems with the graphics as you but the same errors, are you sure your 3d hardware is running well?

Try removing libpng from your libs dir. Make sure that you have libpng installed through your package manager.

aye 3d hardware is running almost perfectly anything else will work, even WoW with wine :)

installed the windows version and ran it with wine just like i'm sure you've done and I get the same result, a seizure nightmare.  good luck and i'll keep checking :)

aye it's installed, moved it out of the libs dir and no change.   any specific version of libpng needed?  I'm using libpng12-0, version 1.2.8rel-5 (the ubuntu dapper version)

libpng should not be the problem cuz i get that error to and dont have bigger graphical issues:)

(i´m using exactly the same libpng version)

i installed the game with the .bin wich went fine, but tomorrow i´ll get the windows version, install it under windows (first time since several week that i will start windows) and try to run it with wine cuz the sound doesnt seems to work with alsa.
