lost items when i was smithing my swords

i was smithing my swords and stock and then all of a suddend the server crashed and i lost all my proggress and im very P O ed

It's a known problem in Planeshift, that you loose all the practice points of the skill, when the server crashes or is rebooted.

Also about the loss of you're items can't be done anything too.
Everything that is gone can't be restored nor get refunded.

I can understand, that you are P O as you tell it, but we all encounter the same problems as you are.
You are certainly not the only one encountering the problem, but everyone does.

When the server crashes and you finally log back in... you will be returned to one or other of the following:

1. The last sector map boundary that your character crossed before the server crashed.

2. The last point your character was at when you logged out using the "X" Icon to do so, and then logged back in to the server.

When I travel my character from Ojaveda to Hydlaa, I usually do a re-log on the slope between the Irifon River and Korogan Pass... and another re-log just before entering the Rock Gorge on the approach to East Gates of Hydlaa.

I also re-log when weapons training.

Few times I lost hours of mining iron and making swords when I was assembling weapon and server crashed. Then I started with daggers, they require less iron so I could make it faster. I made four daggers so far. I was reloging immediately after finishing each dagger. But each time when I was trying to log in the server was unreachable for some time. Now I have 4 daggers in my inventory but no progress in skill. I think there is no point in weapons making at the moment.

I've not had a problem of losing experience/training on crashes, nor have i lost any steel stock, or weapon parts during a process, ive seen quite a few linkdeads and no losses on my part.
