Making steel stocks
« on: March 12, 2007, 02:46:16 am »
I know the first answer to this question will be "ask in game", but I tried, and it really didn't work.

I have a couple questions.  I'm doing a quest for Harni that involves getting him two steel stocks.  This is the root of the questions.

My first question is, how do I make stocks. I can make iron ignots, but I don't know how to make iron stocks.  I know making a steel one involves combining coal and iron, but besides that I don't know how to make any kind of stocks.

My next question is, what level metallurgy should I have before I can melt coal lumps in the furnace.  All I can make right now are piles of dust.

My last question is once I have the molten iron and molten coal... then what?  What device do I use to combine them and make them into a stock?

I've heard that it is easier to just buy the steel stock, but I want to know how and be able to.  I want my character to be a craftsman, so this is something I'll need to know. If you'd like to sell me some steel stocks that'd be great, and it will save me time on the quest, but I still would like to know how to do this.

Thank You

I belive how it works in general, is:

take the lumps of ore you want to combine, put it in the furnace.

then hit the combine button.

if you have the right amount, they combine into a molten lump of steel.  thats as far as i ever messed with crafting.

as for levels, that's in game type of stuff.  sorry, but you'll just have to find someone there, or have someone send you a pm with the information as it isn't to be discussed in open forum.
