Hi there,

I run a 64bit gentoo. I tried the actual CVS version which should run on laanx.

CS(26286)
Cal3D 0.11 (407)
CEL(2591)
PS(2007-02-20 00:00:00 UTC)

I tried different settings on resolution, antialiasing, and font size. Could only run the client with CVS initial settings.

As soon as I left a sector, the game crashed. I assume it has something to do with the arch, since people running 32 bit reported to me, they are able to use the cvs version on laanx.

Version has been compiled as written on the official compile howto, I noticed there are some problems while copying the data from a binary version, since the version was not playable. Anyway, logged in in the #planeshift-build, and did get much responce from users there in the channel. Finally compiled a new version, copied the data as following

/data/options
/data/gui
/data/effects/spells
/art

optionally:
/data/zoneinfo.xml
/data/server.xml

After that, i had a running version of psclient. I could log in on laanx and play. But as soon as i left a sector the game crashed. I reported a bug to the list, with a responce.

Finally i noticed no one is able to help me, since i am the only one running a 64 bit OS, having this problem. Was told I should post it here in Forums

We tested  the ./walktest and ./celtst. And it worked. I wonder since the binary version is working, why not the CVS version then.
I hope here is someone which compiled succesfully the CVS version on a 64 Bit OS, and is able to run it.

I did not notice my cs plugins did not compile yesterday.
simply run -jam plugins in /cs dir and it did.
