Just in case nobody else has noticed, the "reason for edit" text box does not add the info to the post. I can only guess it is to notify moderators in the event you wish to have the post deleted or to show compliance with a gm request or some such.

The reason should be displayable to everyone, but we're using a custom forum theme. So, some further tweaks need to be done to have the full edit text show up. If you use another display theme, one of SMF's default, you will see the reasons pop up.

(Until we have this modification fully installed for our main PS theme, I've gone back to adding the reasons into the posts themselves.)

Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

So if I am not mistaken then the posts to which I have added entries in the RFE box and in the body will have them displayed twice in the swf standard theme?

Also am I not supposed to see that input field if it is for mods?

Or,

if you run on the "Classic YaBB SE Theme" you don't even see that reason for edit box at all.

guess i'll need to change my forum theme. or just add them to the bottom of people's posts as we have done in the past.

I like the default theme, I do, but I have problems with all the dark colors.  the white and light blue colors with the "Classic YaBB SE Theme" is the easiest for me to read from.

Ahah, I thought it was a moderator-only feature :D Neat that everyone can use it.

Yes, if you're using the standard theme and you input a reason into the RFE box and into the body of your post, both will show up. Acraig has been super busy lately to go back to fixing this board addition, but eventually you'll only need to use the RFE for our default theme.

I kind of liked my speculative reason but this is fine too. I'm not too concerned about doubly posted reasons so I won't bother looking for the few I've made, I'll just go on from here.
