Topic Symbols: What do they mean?
« on: June 15, 2007, 11:20:36 pm »
Before people pounce on me for being a dumb newb, I am asking a serious question.

I'm aware of what the symbols on the first column mean (speech bubble if I replied to it, and the colours for how popular it is), but the ones on the second column have got me wondering what they mean?  What does the newsprint one mean, that it's normal, or the question mark one a question/answer topic, or the exclamation mark meaning important, or the light bulb means it's under investigation.  Is that right?

Seriously, it's confusing and I hope someone does give me an answer.

Those symbols don't mean anything in particular, they are free for posters to use as they see fit :)
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
