Start up problems
« on: March 12, 2003, 11:09:55 pm »
I can get thru the creation process without a problem. When I go to connect, it locks up on the initalizing world part and it stops responding, and I mean majorly. I tried to let it just work itself out but it just froze up.

What do I need to do to get it running?

If you had read the FAQ of technical problems you could have read :

\"
1. My game locks up when I connect. It just says \"Initializing world\" but Windows says it is not responding!
This is ok. On some machines, Planeshift believes it needs to recalculate the lighting, which can take up to 2 hours the first time you run. If you let it run to completion, it will load quickly every time after that.

\"

By the way on my computer It do the same again and again. The game works, no memory problem (I have 256Mo of RAM on a Win2K system), but I have to wait at least 30minutes each time I launch the game.  Hope u wouldn\'t have the same problem.
