mkay .... so the DH was talking to an NPC to complete a certain section of a quest.  It required him to give the NPC something.  While he was transferring the items to the trade screen the server booted him out.  Now when he goes back to that NPC he cannot get the quest to "jump start" itself so that he can complete it.  The NPC won't accept the trigger phrase, nor will the NPC accept the trade.

Is there a way to "jump start" a quest that has gotten stuck in this fashion?  Or can he petition a GM to dump the quest for him so he can start it from scratch?

Thanks :)

~*~ Edit ~*~

demmit ... one of these days I'll get my posts in the right forum.  could you please move this to technical help?  thanx

As far as I know, this is one of those "Oh crap" scenarios. Quests and server disconnects are quite disastrous together, and many people are stuck with uncompleted quests like this. Unfortunately Game Masters cannot discard quests for players, as it requires access to the database. Eventually there should be a quest wipe that will let people start anew (it will probably only wipe uncompleted quests from the record). In the meantime, all we can do is apologize for the inconvenience :<
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.

Thanks ... I'll let him know.

No worries.  Hiccups happen.  I'll tell him to put a note in his quest log that it is stuck and waiting for a quest wipe so that he doesn't keep trying to complete it.  (because he would keep trying ... lol)

Sometimes going back to the previous step helps. Sometimes not. Either way, we're sorry and good luck.

Not a problem.  The way he keeps changing characters, I'm not sure how big of a deal it is ... lolol
