In Game Crash
« on: August 17, 2007, 04:10:27 pm »
During every game of PlaneShift, and at random intervals, my whole screen goes black minus the exception of what looks like static at the bottom of my monitor. My system specs are as follows:

-AMD athalon 2600 (@2.13 Ghz)
-1Gb of RAM
-x2 80 Gb HDD's
-NVidia GeForce 4 MX4000

All drivers as well as the game are up to date and installed, directX 9 is being used, all the settings for CB are set to the lowest and recommended settings.

If i left out any info someone needs to answer my cry for help, please post it.
Thankyou in advance!
Jeremy

Are you able to get back to your desktop once the screen goes black, or are you forced to reboot your machine? Are you running PS in windowed or fullscreen mode? And what is the temperature inside your case when you play (just to make sure neither your GPU or CPU are overheating)? You can use SpeedFan to find out the latter. Chances are this isn't the problem, but it'd be good to eliminate that off the list of possibilities.
Judge: Are you trying to show contempt for this court, Mr Smith?
Smith: No, My Lord. I am attempting to conceal it.
