I ran the updater too. The game is still working as far as I can see. But I have an Intel Mac, so mine still freezes the whole system. I was hoping the update makes a difference.

Yes, I did. But it makes no difference. The game still freezes and the rest of the OSX does too within 1 minute of being in-game.
