Can't open Planeshift3D/data/config/r3dopengl.cfg!!!

Whenever I try to load the game it'll generally get to the first screen, but everything is very, VERY dark or utterly black. After a few seconds, the entire thing will freeze, generally taking my computer with it. I found the supposed fix for that in the sticky, but I can't open the r3dopengl.cfg file to edit it! I tried opening it in AppleScript, which didn't work, but it's now set as the application to open that file in, so I can't try anything else.

BLEH. Any suggestions??

1. Download the latest full release from the Planeshift main site (I suggest you use the BitTorrent download) and mount the downloaded disk image (DMG)

2. Drag the Planeshift 3D folder on the DMG to your hard disk (any folder that you have access to is fine, i.e. "Applications" etc).

 OR you could right click on it , from menu choose open with other, then chose one that will open it. Try TextEdit.
