Dual booting vista

Anyone have any experience doing this? I gave a guy from work Fedora and he wants to set it up but is having trouble. He is new to Linux but seems to catch on quick. I have no access to Vista but it does not seem to play nice any more. Is it the TPM or whatever that is causing problems? I thought they threw out all that garbage.

My laptop dual boots Windows Vista Business and Ubuntu without any issue.

Initially a Vista machine, trimmed off the needed partitions during the Ubuntu install - no issues at all.
