Attacking
« on: July 11, 2008, 08:52:25 pm »
Sometimes my character just stops attacking and sits in the stance doing nothing, and I have to untarget the mob and restance in order for him to continue. It isn't server lag, since I can still talk and everything while he sits still in his little pose.

Same here. Hitting /stopattack and then the stance again helps but is annoying to have to do it all the time  :@#\

I've not come across this problem, but until it gets fixed you can have a shortcut that attacks the nearest npc:
Code: [Select]
/target clear
/target next npc
/attack

assign this to a key (I use Q), and you can fix the (immediate) problem at a single finger movement

Used to happen all the time... I always keep keys mapped to deselect current target, target nearest, and attack for that reason.

Bug was reported here: http://www.hydlaa.com/flyspray_upgrade/index.php?do=details&task_id=1923&project=2&order=lastedit&sort=desc
by me :)

But even with that shortcut, which i generally always use, the npc and your char will stop attacking randomly throughout the fight, or not even attack at all. I can say once i've had to restart attack 4 times to finish the rogue off.

Also note that it effects PvP as well, as a group of us had a hell of a time last night.

This happened to me last night attacking an ulbernaut, nearly died as it kept attacking me and I couldn't attack but was in the stance. Very annoying, though hasnt proved to be deadly... yet!

Yeah... training sword showed this problem last night. I fight in mostly defensive when training in order to do less damage and get more hits in per kill. Targeting trepors I usually took 12 or so hits. In order to hit them 12 times, on average I had to retarget and attack 6 times per kill. This is HIGHLY annoying and made my training drag on for what felt like forever. This was with Trepors and Ulbers that I was engaging. If the fight stalled, the Ulber/Trepor would stay engaged but would never attack me again. If i moved, it would follow me, but never actually hit me after the first hiccup.

64-bit Linux client, 0.4.01 with updates as of last night, Fedora 7 (64-bit), AMD 64-bit with nVidia graphics card, Oja Road 2.

This is the perfect glitch to get me KSed from. Every time my stance suddenly stops working, some idiot with a spell comes in and snipes it away from me. :/
