Hey All,

  New guy here. I have a problem, I have seen the posts for \"Initializing World\" crashes, but I have a different problem...

  My problem happens on the same screen, but it just stops on \"Initializing Character\", not world. It still is using memory when it does this, and it is still \"Running\" in my task manager.

  Does this \"Initializing Character\" step take a long time, or is there a problem. Oh yeah, the server name I put in was: planeshift.fragnetics.com. Is this the right server?

  My system specs:

Processor: Pentium 4 1.7 gig
Memory: 256mb
Video Card: GeForce 4 MX 460 (I know it stinks)
Video Card Mem: 64mb (I think)
Operating Sys: Windows XP

I would suggest you try making a new char.  Perhaps it got corrupted or something.  The initializing character step takes no time at all.

I have made at least 8 new chars., but none seem to work. I got into the game ONCE, but it hasn\'t worked ever since.

Maybe I\'ll wait untill they update the game again

you could always try that I guess , not much fun though  ;)

but then again, having it not work can\'t be much fun either  :rolleyes:
