A few questions.
« on: January 23, 2008, 12:19:55 am »
Fist off I am sorry if some of the questions have alrdy been awnsered, I'm not on my computer atm and this one has a very bad connection, every time I go to read a topic i get disconected half-wal through.

#1- Is it possible to progess well in the game with out having to do combat, and only minning? I don't enjoy the fighting aspects of games I perfer the minning/crafting.

#2- How high can the Repair armor and repair weapon skills go? and how high do they need to be to repair Light/medium/heavy armors?

#3- How high dose the Job skills go up to? Like Minning/Blacksmithing/ect...

#4- This is probaly the most important for me as I have been looking for a Roleplay based game. How would you RATE the roleplay in game on a scale from 1 to 10? I haven't had a chance to login as i haven't been on my computer.

Thank you, all in advance for you awnsers.

11? Really? I didn't know Spinal Tap was hanging around.

I believe all the skills are meant to have the same amount of training available eventually but that is not currently the case and that in the triple digits. Right now it is a little more irregular than that as not every skill has trainers for that many levels. I think the highest levels are for the martial and magical arts with the general trades lagging behind. If you goal is to role play then this should not be much of a hindrance to you as many of the ardent role players refuse to use the game mechanics though many others try to train at least a few levels to support their roles. I suppose it really depends on what role you wish to play.

The main and only reason I play this game is for the role play. I agree with Steuben, give it a 11. As you get to know the game better you will find the characters you wish to role play with and make friends.

I do hope you enjoy our game and welcome.

Yes, agreed Planeshift has a high amount of role-play however you may not find it the first few times you log in, depending on who you talk to you and all. but yes if you find the right groups of people or the older ones you will quickly see how much role-play is about.
