Death on the stairs

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not.

I was in the arena and running up and down the stairways (just looking for one of the trade stands) and seemed to fall for some reason and die.  OK, so I was on 30% HP after a near loss of duel with a Tefusung, but that was well out of the area.

Has anyone else experienced this? Maybe its a "mean't to be" situation.

Running Linux Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy.

the way the server sees a char falling is the same way you run down the steps the server does not right now know the difference in running down the steps and falling down the same distance from a cliff. Most people have just learned not to run down steps as it is dangerous

I just checked the Gameplay thread and spotted that it does warn against running down stairs. Serves me right for being too impatient!!! LOL

You'd walk away with some serious injuries if you tried to sprint down a flight of stairs like you make your char do in game.  Only right that you take damage from doing it in game.

I have been running down stairs holding big sharp swords for ages and I;ve never experienced this.

Mostly because you only fall like 3 steps at a time, which is only enough to lose 0.1% health every time you leave the ground which happens 4-5 times running down the aforementioned stairs.

Well, up until this happened, I'd agree with you. so be warned. LOL
