Problem with the Setup
« on: May 29, 2008, 02:02:09 am »
Hi. First off I guess I'll introduce myself. My name is Carlos and I'm excited to try Planeshift but I am having a problem.

When I open up the setup application so I can configure the client, the whole window is completely black. When I click on the buttons nothing works and I tried everything from opening it as administrator, allowing through firewall, setting it so its compatible with XP and all that stuff.

Here's a picture and my computer information (A gaming rig from xFire)

your video card driver needs to be updated to support OpenGL.  It's a common problem with people that run Vista, as that OS is terrible because it's made by Microsoft.

How would I do that? I'm pretty sure my video card might support OpenGL.....

This is what my video card settings look like. It even has an open gl setting window.
