Logitech Precision PC Gaming Headset
« on: July 01, 2008, 02:11:42 am »
Has anyone tried these before? For some odd reason, the right earphone sometimes doesn't play any sound, and I have to bend the wire in a certain way in order for it to play anything. The left one works fine, but the right one's just dead. I have to either hold the wire, or tie it with something, which most of the time doesn't even stay together the way that'll get it to work (I have constantly keep rearranging how it's tied). Would anyone know how this can be fixed?

Aha, I'd rather know if I can fix it or not before I spend any money on crap that'll last about 2 months. Nothing stays together anymore it seems.

From what i can tell it seems that the wire leading to the speaker has broken off. If the headphones were maybe 20 years older you could probably fix them but now companies making headphones prefer to use some weirdo stringy wire thats nearly impossible to solder by hand, and today's fused plastic casings are nearly impossible to disassemble without tearing them to shreds. I would recomend getting a new headset.

It's all about the money for them.
