what do you mean the updater is a black screen? for now the updater is a console app and has no graphical user interface and you can run ps without using the updater.

Don't be sarcastic, please. Your first post contained no information at all. You run the updater and it is a black screen. What is a black screen? Your entire screen? A portion of the screen? A window that says updater, but is black and nothing is showing on it? Make sure you have the latest java virtual machine installed for your operating system. If you are using a Macintosh, don't run the updater. Otherwise, detail what you are saying with a screenshot at least.

Hi,

basis of all help is that the one that want to help get as much information as possible. So from 'the screen is black' to 'the updater window is black' is not much more of information and except someone accidently guesses what you mean it is hard to help.
Try to describe prcisely what you do and see and what system you use (e.g. windows, mac...) to give others a better chance of understanding your problem.
