Updater Issue (have searched and read other topics)
« on: September 07, 2008, 06:30:13 pm »
So - I don't have any coding/programming experience, so I've been trying to get it to work, but I just need help.
First, I fixed the 'false' to 'true'

The first problem was the mirrors. I waited, re-tried it later.
It worked, but then it forked.

I cleared my library/startupitems and it doesn't fork anymore.
Now it says:

Checking for updates:
Couldn't open xml file '/this/updaterinfo.xml'!
Unable to get root node

Now- when I open the game, Planeshift works, but the server fails every time.  I read somewhere about something needing to be a certain way, but I have no clue how to get to it or change it.  Can someone help me?

(I also deleted and re-downloaded the updater and tried everything twice, to no avail. I'm ridiculously lost.)

Specs:
Mac OS X
Version 10.5.4
