where are config files?
« on: September 11, 2008, 11:13:19 pm »
I was running PS on WIN XP, and i am now with linux/ubuntu.
I want to copy my config files from XP to Linux one (shortcutcommandkeys.xml, system log,....)
I don't find them on my linux directory.
An idea of their location?
Are XP files usable under UBUNTU?

the files should go in /home/<yourUserName>/.PlaneShift a hidden folder

Yes you can use the same files from windoze, BUT you need to make sure they have the right permissions for linux

Make sure the Owner can read and write and group and others can read the files.

Do you need to convert your config textfiles when coming from windows? I mean replace CR/LF crap windows does just with linefeeds? (with dos2unix or similar?). Or doesn't that matter at all?

ok the files work well without any modification... Just copy them from XP directory to Linux one (under linux)...
