Problems with SuSE 8.0 on intel-pc
« on: April 22, 2003, 05:23:35 pm »
Hi,

I just downloaded the compiled package, and when trying to run psclient, I get the following message:

./psclient-bin: error while loading shared libraries: libstdc++.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Oups! Since I cannot spare the time (this is completely different matter, sigh...) for downloading/compiling/testing/downloading/... etc. I would wish to find some compiled package without any dependencies like those mentioned in the error message. Is it possible to generate static linked binaries, and would that solve the problem of dependencies on Linux? I know that the download time would be significantly increased, but as an additional option that could make sense, I think.

Or is there any other way to simply enjoy roleplaying without the fuss about compiling and such? Some real simple way to get the game running? See, I simply want to PLAY!

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Greets

Olaf
