Graphics Problems with Vista
« on: February 14, 2009, 05:18:23 pm »
I downloaded Version 3.03 on my Laptop but whenever i go to login the screen keep blanking and dissapearing, I think it may be an issue with my Display Adapter, I am running windows vista premium with a Mobile Intel (R) 965 express Chipset Family.
Im wondering if that could be an issue. Help would be greatly appreciated :)

intel graphics cards/chips dont run openGL games/apps very well, try to update your graphics card drivers and see if that helps. otherwise you need to get a new graphics card.

Caarrie is exaggerating about intels inability to run ps. My gm915 chip was able to run ps, with some graphic glitches (some black hills and flashing portals) and sometimes low framerate. If you are not able to run it with a newer chip, it will not be because intel in general does not work well with opengl as Caarrie states.
Newest driver and fiddling around with graphics settings should at least get you a version the shows most of the graphics.
