Bronze Doors Crash
« on: January 02, 2010, 10:34:37 pm »
Whenever I go past a certain point in the bronze doors, I crash and when I try to log back in I instantly crash. I have needed a GM to move me out of the area several times, and it is impossible to go anywhere beyond where I crash. This makes me unable to get Winch access or progress my skills further because most of the fortress is not accessible.
I'm not insane, I'm just eccentric. Now leave me alone and let me hug ulbers in peace. :D

For me, I crash as soon as I reach the fortress. When I try getting back on with the character who crashed, I get on but I can't move or do anything at all until it crashes a few seconds after. I end up having to remake the chara.

If you cant relog due to crashing then contact a GM either via a petition if you have an alt or on IRC in GMtalk and the GMs can move your character when it is off like to a place they should be able to relog without crashing.

moving by GM helps but only temporarily ... in my case, setting 'Backgroud Loading' - 'off' solved the problem

Try adding ThreadManager.AlwaysRunNow = true to the pslaunch.cfg (in the application data dir) and psclient.cfg (in the program dir).

if you crash on the stairs on your way up, make sure your client is up-to-date. there was a problem in the release client which was fixed in an update.
