Earth Hour

In my time zone, Earth Hour just completed its run - did anyone participate? I sure did, in my own unique and helpful way chronicled here.

I felt really guilty for not getting all the lights in my house off, since it didn't matter that i turned the lights off in most of the rooms along with everything electronic. It stinks because my family is composed of careless biomass that didn't want to turn their computers off .

It gets me that some people think candles are somehow better than electric light. Instead of pollution far away at the power plant you get pollution right in your room and you can't see very well.

I'm all for cleaning up the environment but not at the expense of modern conveniences. Give me better new stuff not old broken stuff.
