                                                                                                                                                                                 The New World

(( The new world is a game that takes place during a zombie apocalypse, and is strategy based; Basically meaning that you have control of a town/city/settlement that has held out from the zombie apocalypse. Individual characters are encouraged, a particular leader that you may have created is to be played out, RP, ladies and gents. There are five types of zombies within the game, and some may even be added later on. The kinds of zombies are: Shambler, a basic zombie, slow and cumbersome, dumber then average, and is usually found in large numbers. Sprinter, the sprinter is a relatively fast zombie, and is faster then average. The mallet; a dim zombie, but hits like an absolute truck. 'The mallet's' are slow at first, but break into a charge after they see a target. Burnt zombie: The Burnt zombies are sprinters that have been burned in the early days of the virus, they are very resilient and, and the many that survived during said burnings have become far more aggressive then average. The last of these is the most uncommon, and has regained some intelligence after it's mutation. It is simply called 'a scout' A scout has advanced hearing, and is oftentimes clever. They alert the hordes that they reside in by letting out a loud screech.

Rules

1) A short post is better then no post

2) OOC posts have to be in brackets

3) No godmodding

4) Don't make it to easy for your nation. They're going to have bumps and lose battles and lose people, food shortages will be very common, unless they live in a rural area or live by a grocery store (This food will eventually run out)

5) Though you can see the people's numbers and battles, resources, etc. of other nations, your characters/survivors cannot unless they scout, and these are generally dangerous tasks in The New World game; unless they're quiet of course.

6) Technological advances are allowed, but your society won't discover them overnight.

7) Every once in a while I will intervene in said society. IE, a certain 'treasure' uncovered, or a horde of zombies has sniffed out your society.

8. No pulling armies out of midair.

9) This, obviously, takes place on earth.

10) Don't get TOO gory, moderation for goriness is needed.

11) All PS rules apply

12) After two pages are done the season will change, after eight pages are done, it will be a year.

So, overall, the world has come into anarchy due to the zombie virus, and survivors will try to rebuild society, keep a certain area anarchistic, etc etc etc.

You may now post! ))

New Valentine, southeastern kansas, U.S.A, present day

"Hey pa, it's another batch of them goons again." said Jack. They had been stuck on the farm for a while now. The 'goons' as they called them, were breaking down the door to the house, slamming and scratching and pushing... "Don't you worry, boy, I got another trick up my sleeve; we ain't licked yet." John said. The zombies had broken through, mouths foaming and eyes dull, they charged in a relatively small group; easy to pick off.. A shot from his and his companions' rifles were enough to kill the zombies. Stragglers were picked off. "Boys, I think it's about time we take this town back, get to the bar, and find as many folks as we can!" John's words were met with yells and whoops, and they set off to reclaim their town... About a week later, they had reclaimed the town, the surrounding creeks and forests as well. They had regained the clinic, the three gun and ammunition shops, the bar, and 'Jeb's place' a local restaurant. They had also regained the two automobile shops, the local church, and, of course, the moonshine still. They had also gained the hunters supply shop, camo, binoculars, you name it. They had gained the sheriff's office, and the clothing store; most of the clothes were torn and tattered, but they would have to suffice for the survivors. The last thing that they found, was the old quarry. It had been out of use since 1903 due to misplaced dynamite and powder that had killed a lot of men while mining and gathering stone. Sheet metal and planks were placed as the barrier between the survivors, and the zombies. The barrier always was guarded; mainly by the locals hiding in bushes and trees, and shallow trenches... They had armed themselves, and were preparing for the worst. They had to clean up the corpses from most houses, and a stench was still in most of these houses.

Units: 132 'homeguards' 12 'smiters' (Big guys with hatchets, hammers, etc)

The remaining 147 people were workers who would fix barricades, mine, and generally help with everyday life...

Government type: Monarchy, may change with time.

Leader(s) John Bennet, Sheriff Marcus

Economy style: Agriculture, and mining, fishing, woodchopping, gunsmithing, hunting, and toolmaking

((Here is an explanation why some people have survived in this town. Most people in the town owned two or more guns, had heard news of some sort of 'zombie virus' from the cities, as well as their own people who had lived in the town came back with pictures from said cities, seen it, and were, obviously scared. Not to mention that New Valentine is an out of the way town. Over 300 other people died, however.

((Requirements for new societies: You must state your economy style, leader(s) and Government type. If you have a new leader, economy style, etc, then you must state it in the next post, or edit it in your most recent posts. During talks with other nations you don't have to state units or new units unless you're nation is still in progress of training more units.

Post away!))

Ardoin: So, do you drink moonshine?
Earowo: As long as it has alcohol, I'll drink it.

[You might want to put up an example start, as your post indicates nothing that you should put up for your society.]
