Im running Fedora 13 and was wondering if at any point, Planeshift will run its own Planeshift Repository so it becomes installable through the Add / Remove Packages section of the operating system (PackageKit) ?

doubt supporting all distributions becomes too resource heavy. if it would ever happen it would be just for the major distro which is ubuntu and so also debian

RHEL doesn't count as major distribution? ;)

Better of installing it yourself into an isolated directory.
Its a simple task to install it.

nope rhel isn't a major distribution in the desktop sorry :P

True, Ubuntu is the top as well as Debian, I am using Linux MInt which is made off Ubuntu so it will work fine here as well, so it would be a great move for Ubuntu first :)
