I am having (still) the linkdead problem and have tried everything.
My System:
1.6 GHZ p4-m
Win XP Home
256 MB DDR RAM
32 MB Nvidia Geforce2 GO Video Card (NV11)
DirectX 9.0a
Crystal Sound Card
All drivers up to date
-Tried running the game before updating in both OpenGL and Software (safe) modes.
-Tried running games before updating in Win98/ME compat. mode.
-Tried running game and using numeric IP instead of domain name before updating.
-Did all of the above after updating, same linkdead error
Other Stuff: Tried creating new char before and after updating. Edited config files to the best of my ability. Tried running game in all compatibiliy modes (95/98/me/nt4/2000), tried running game with and without sound.
Nothing werkz! PLZ HELP!
