Is this storage you speak of able to be accessed by guild members or just by one person? If only one character manages it at a time, then it's not really an alternative to what I was saying.

There is no guild storage yet but this doesn't prevent the current policy of houses are not to be used for storage. See the discussion at http://www.hydlaaplaza.com/smf/index.php?topic=36764.0 for the discussion that happened when the policy was first announced.

So, why did the developers make cabinets and crates? We don't have that many items in our Guild House, but I'm still kind of curious.

Hehe, a fun answer. Considering Sarva's input and the fact that there are items with clear Storage purposes this is how I interpret it: Guild Houses can be used for storage as long as it's clean, not spammy and decorative as well.
