Firewall q's
« on: May 31, 2003, 08:19:09 pm »
I\'m sorry, but this is my first time actually having to alter my firewall (if I even have one). I get the linkdead message and heard you should check your firewall. Um...how do you do that?

A few things here.

Follow the posting guidelines for each new topic (OS, system info, router/switch/hub info, problem details, etc).

You have to tell me some of that before I can help you.

Mainly though it feels like you aren\'t sure you even have one, are you running WindowsXP, ZoneAlarm, Norton FireWall, a router with a built in firewall, etc?

Well anyhow I would of asked you a few questions but I\'ll skip it.

It appears as if you don\'t have a firewall period unless there is some software installed that may of set one up I am unaware of. Do you have Norton System Suite or anything similar installed?

Nope, just have Norton AntiVirus and Rescue...that\'s all. I guess I\'m outta luck. PS looks so cool too....
