The Elite Crystal Dueling Tournament

The event will be held near the maulbernaut encampment (the one nearest to hydlaa, going to Oja). There is a body of water nearby that people can access to clean of blood,sweat, or anything of them.

2nd of Azhord

GMT - 8PM (I think)]

Rules:

This is the ELITE division tournament.
[Those over lvl 100 in a weapon skill will be able to compete]
Each competitor will be set into rounds with only one other competitor (not an all-for-all). All competitors must read and obey the Rules !  All rounds are best 2 out of 3.
Each competitor will be presented by a pair of normal (50Q) axes/swords/daggers upon arrival (no plat-steel longswords available). Competitors may NOT use their own weaponry, they must use the pair (50q) given to them by the judge.
[In this case, please contact me and tell me your preferred type of weapon so I can stock up before the tournament. Please also tell me if you have LA training. If you are a high level in LA, you will be presented with a full set of Q1 Leather armor. Tell me before hand so I can stock up.]
After the tournament, competitors must return the pair of weapons back to the judge (me).
No healing, magic, food , armor, shields, ranged. Absolutley no killing, or magical weaponry (GM items included).

Prizes:
1st prize:600 circles (150,000 trias).
2nd prize: 200 circles (50,000 trias).
3rd prize: A full set of either Chain mail armour and 40 circles (10,000 trias) or Plate mail armour and 40 circles (10,000 trias).
(prizes may not seem like a lot, but i am trying to do a lot of tournaments with small prizes rather than doing 1 tournament with 1 big prize)

You must send an application to Darra (aka.Darkra) Tantellion by exactly one day before the event starts.
Fee is to be 20 circles (5,000 trias).

Why is this? Why light armor? Also, keep in mind some are platinum longswords users, be it for RP reasons or OOC reasons, and to date there are no 50! plat. steel longswords.

Why is this? Why light armor?

We duel with no armour, If someone is, for example, lvl 200 in LA it will give them a huge advantage against those who have no training in LA at all (LA still counts even if you do not wear the armour). With Q 1 LA, it will make the LA defence worse (your skin is Q50 LA), and therefore make it a little more fair.

Also, keep in mind some are platinum longswords users, be it for RP reasons or OOC reasons, and to date there are no 50! plat. steel longswords.

Nice idea.
I hope you have found a method (GM assistance?) to verify whether the duelists respect the rules and really do not use their own equipment.
The effect of the light armor skill is exactly the reason I have given up planning such a competition. I hope you can keep things in balance with your worn armor rule, which might work out quite well.

There may be a problem with Klyros wearing Heavy Armor. The model just won't show on them, therefore looking like they're not wearing anything. And it's a good thing you won't allow massive destruction weapons like plat. steel longswords.

The idea of the light armor as you explained it makes perfect sense and I see like a good solution. Very well thought, expect my application (if my current girlfriend agrees on me paying more attention to a game than to her for a day ^^' )

Darkra shouts: Good evening everyone! My name is Darra and I will be yout host/judge for tonight! I certainly hope you all brought a campfire, some food, pillows, blankets, and a nice comfortable chair or fur as this tournament may last a whole day and night! As some of you may know, there is a pool nearby. It is called the pool of stealth. During this event, you may get spalshed with blood or for whatever reason, the pool is there for you to use. Now please settle down and take a seat ! The Crystal Dueling Tournament is about to begin!
Darkra shouts: All duelist please stand in line, side by side! Get your trickets out! I will be collecting them! As I collect your tickets, I will be handing out your requested pair of weapon (Q50). You will use these to duel. Those of you who have experience with light armor will be presented with torn up leather armor (Q1) to even out the playing field! I expect all duelist to return my weapons by the end of the tournament.
Darkra shouts: Audiences please take a seat behind , or beside me.

Darkra shouts: I expect everyone of you to know the rules. If not, then here they are. There will be no healing of any sort (magic food potions). No magic. No armor, other than those i gave to specified contestants. No bows and arrows. Absolutley no killing is allowed, you will be disqualified and I will personally slap you in the face!
arkra shouts: There will be 28 rounds in this tournament. All rounds are best 2 out of 3, the winner of that round will get 2 points. the loser will get 1. The champin will be the one with the most points. Champion will recieve the prize of 600 circles. 1st Runner up will get 200 circles, and 2nd runner up will get 40 circles and a full set of perfect regular store-bought armor of their choice.
Darkra shouts: I will give you all numbers. please remember your number through out the tournament. I will be calling 2 numbers, those 2 will then duel their round.
