PPs when mining

Not sure if this is a bug, or intended, but I was mining Iron at level 8 and getting 149 PPs for unsuccessful and 248 PPs for success. I leveled up to 9 and the PPs I was getting dropped by one. Previously I gained more PPs per attempt after leveling up.

That's probably right. The better you get at doing something, the less reward.

That's why I didn't immedietly put it on Flyspray! Up until now though, the ammount of PPs I was getting had been increasing with each level up, so I did wonder.

it depends on the difficulty of the mining field you're mining, as you get closer to the set difficulty the bonus given for mining it lessen. When you will reach the difficulty level there will be no bonus but you will still get the normal experience reward (this means you will always get some experience), on the other hand the more you get closer to the field difficulty the better will be the chance to successfully mine (get one ore). Also notice there are other factors involved and the distance from the mining field "center" is one of them.
