I am a proud Larper! Its incredibly fun. And a crazy good work out. I spent two weeks fighting monsters, and trotting through forests in a forty pound suit of chain mail. It was one of the best experiences of my life. It was last yeah when I was packing my Dungeons and Dragons books, for a job at a month long LARPing camp, while RPing on PS that I realized that I had achieved the level of super nerd. And there was no going back.

PS had a cosplay contest if that counts though I have my suspicions about the first participant's photo. It looks totally fake xD.

Sometimes I venture into the woods armed with a large knife and search for corpses, pretending that I'm a nature-loving necrophiliac.

I have spent a few happy hours rummaging through a store I know that sells equipment for it, but I've never taken part. The form weapons (at least in the store I know anyway) were ridiculously expensive, not to mention that the store is in a country where I don't speak the language too well, so I'd probably have had trouble taking part there.

Apart from the combat, I think I'd find it a bit too weird anyway to be honest. Unless I was helping organise it maybe. I don't know.

I'm not going to lie. At  first its very awkward. But then you realize that everyone else around you is taking a risk too. Then the next thing you know, your covered in sweat after a fight with zombies, and you are engaged in legitimate conversation about how to get the skull of Cryanthia back from the goblin king.
