Buddy List History
« on: October 22, 2014, 09:17:10 am »
Now that I know how to add commentary on my buddy list names, I've taken to going through and marking names. I'm primarily focusing on who I can remember that Illy knows ICly.

Since I regularly add new names whenever I am playing, I have a pretty long list now. Going through it searching for names has made me go back through memories, and much like Suno was saying in his Forum Private Messages thread, it brings back emotions too. A lot of time, I end up thinking how I wish this or that player was around so they could see certain features they had asked for or wanted in the past. On that thought, Kronwag, if you happen to see this, they finally released more information on Kran and now there is Kran food. :D

But, I was wondering if anyone else holds on to the names on their buddy list for purely sentimental reasons as well? At one point I used to clear names of long gone players but now I can't.

I used my buddy list to help me remember who I met icly, so once my character knows you by name, you are there to stay :p

My list is completely empty. It is not a feature that holds much utility for me.

Once upon a time there was a Kore fenki named Ayria, whom Mishka befriended and held rather close to her heart. One day, Ayria was gone (OOCly), and hasn't returned since.

I wonder where did she go, and how is she doing.

I love the feeling of a long missed buddy appearing in my list(s) again... Illysia belongs to them.

It is also good to see names you recognize as well. :D However, there are some players that I had a lot of fun with and it wasn't ooh so long ago. Such as Zephan and Calluna I think it was. They were fun to have around at the Stonehead. Halbor too. The fact that they also worked for stonehead... well... ;D

I used to "clean up" my buddy list, but stopped with that when it would have come to Hassadria and Miaua.

Oh wow! I haven't heard those names in awhile. :D Yeah, I think I did something similar when it came to Indygo. However, around that time people on my list would spontaneously pop back up and then I would feel bad about the people I removed because they could potentially come back. Xylaal did that to me after the Nolthrir female model was released.

Harnquist was the only one I ever added the Drey's buddy list.
<Rux> i wish i could say that narrows it down, but the internet is one freaky place
