A few thoughts, and forgive me I am still sipping on my coffee... If we can take a look at the traditions in general and the study of religions, you would find that a celebration like Unodin, might actually predate the current God/desses, and that these celebrations are more about the seasonal changes. Without the fertility of the land the people would starve, and so maybe they did not worship Xiosia in ancient times, but you can be assured that they celebrated the coming of warmer weather as it is a sign of life and prosperity. Although there may be no mention of it it any lore, I am sure they honored Talad or Laanx, (or the older God/esses they brought with them from their homes) for this annual rebirth, and speculating this from a historian approach, looking at the current traditions, you would most likely find that pastorals of Oja and the outer villages were doing their fertility rites for the Gods. I have no reference here to any written text just a suggestion of its probability. I am hoping Jaycol will see this thread as well, he has a nice grasp on the lore & religions of the realm (maybe search his threads or send him a pm?). I mostly make stuff up on the fly with whatever IG knowledge I can find, and throw in some touches of ancientDermorian brews, without going to far, for a bit of flare, as I believe we are evolving as a people and so shall our beliefs and interpretations of the ancient stories, especially as we have all been in the great melting dome together for some time now, but I am not sure what your writing project is about. Are you writing as a character from the past? Or as a character from the present writing about that past?
